Azad faces charges of hurting public sentiments

Hyderabad, July 27: Former state minister Mr. T Jyoti Reddy charged Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad of hurting public sentiments in the name of dialogue and by rejecting resignations through assembly speaker and expressed surprise over talking about consensus.

Talking to journalists at media point on Tuesday, the senior Congress leader and former minister Mr. T Jyothi Reddy urged high command to immediately act upon the statement given in the parliament and form Telangana state and honour the sentiments of the people. He said rejecting the resignation is an undemocratic act and it has affected the goodwill of Congress.

He said following rejection of resignations, the Union Health Minister and incharge Andhra Pradesh Congress Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has called Telangana Congress leaders to Delhi for dialogue. When Telangana people do not want to live with Seema Andhra then why it is being tried to evolve consensus. He enquired.

He further questioned when consensus was not evolved at the time of merging Seemandhra with Telangana then why the need for consensus is felt at the time of separating it.
