Hyderabad: Telangana State and AP Lokayukta Justice B Subhasan Reddy will throw open the eight-day long Azad Day Celebrations 2016 at Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s Model School, Falaknuma, on Friday.
The University is celebrating the 128th birth anniversary of Maulana Azad on a grand scale to pay befitting tribute to one of the leading light of freedom struggle and the first education minister of Independent India. The Inaugural function will be held at 10.00.
Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, MANUU Vice Chancellor, will preside over the function. Prof Ishtiaq Ahmed Zilli, Director Shibli Academy, Azamgarh, UP, will deliver the Azad Memorial Lecture on “Political Thoughts of Maulana Azad” to mark the National Education Day at DDE Auditorium, MANUU Campus on November 11.
MANUU will also be organizing various activities and cultural programmes as part of these celebrations.
