Azad Day Celebrations: Azad Tek Fest inaugurated

Hyderabad: Dr Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice Chancellor Maulana Azad National Urdu University, today inaugurated Azad Tek Fest 2016 at Polytechnic College of the University as part of Azad Day Celebrations.

Students of Polytechnic, ITI and Computer Science and Information Technology took part in the Fest. The Students presented expertise achieved by them in different branches of engineering. Students of Electronics presented models like alarm system run by infrared light, water filling inductor through light and alarm and driving a car by using mobile.

On the other hand, students of Civil Engineering and Plumbing showed their talent by making a model of Eiffel Tower and showing the use of rain water. The other group of students presented computer games programmed by them for the fest.

Dr. Aslam Parvaiz said he was impressed by the talents demonstrated by students. He showed interest in their works by asking a variety of questions on the subjects and offered them useful tips.

Dr Mohd. Yousuf Khan, Principal Polytechnic and Dr Arshia Azam, ITI in-charge, who are the coordinators of the event welcomed the guests.

The Fest was attended by a large number of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff attended.

Also in the day, an exhibition, India’s contribution to global knowledge by the students of Department of Education and Training, was held.

In the meantime, a Students’ extravaganza Rang Tarang was presented yesterday evening where the student community regaled the audience with songs and skits.
