Azad appeals Telangana activists to end the strike

Hyderabad, October 03: Union Health Minister and Congress in-charage for Andhra Pradesh Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday, Sept 3 has urged the pro-Telangana activists to stop the stike for the creation of separate state for Telangana as it causing huge trouble to the common masses particularly the labour class Which are in massive lost as there is no developmental work going on.

“The strike should be called off immediately as it would provide the common people of the state some much needed respite,” siad Azad.

“If they call off their strike, the people of Telangana will be greatly relieved,” he added.

Azad also said that the detail discussion on the issue had been done with state level elected representives and it will take some more time to take the final decision as the matter is very sensitive.The Central government is trying their best to slove the matter at the earliest, he added.

The Telangana general strike for seperate statehood has touched 18 days on Monday, Sept 3. Telangana is sought to be carved out of the economically less developed parts of Andhra Pradesh.
