Ayyanar moves to NIA

Hyderabad, August 25: IPS officer Ravishankar Ayyanar, presently DIG, Karimnagar range, will be joining the National Investigating Agency (NIA) as its regional chief on deputation. The state government had recently issued orders to this effect.

Mahesh Chandra Laddha, presently deputy commissioner of police (East Zone) in Hyderabad, is also likely to go to the NIA as SP.

According to sources, the state government relieved Ayyanar today and he handed over charge to DIG, Warangal range Jitender. Ayyanar will take up his new assignment in a couple of days. The government will be posting another IPS officer as DIG Karimnagar shortly. It is reliably learnt that joint commissioner of police (security), Hyderabad, V Venugopala Krishna is likely to be posted as DIG, Karimnagar range.

Five southern states will be in Ayyanar’s charge at the NIA while two officers of the rank of SP and additional SP will work under him.
