Ayodhya verdict: SC forms 3 judges bench

New Delhi, September 25: A Special three judges bench of the Supreme Court will hear the deferment plea of Ayodhya verdict on September 28.

The three-bench comprising Chief Justice of India SH Kapadia, Justice Aftab Alam and Justice Radhakrishnan will take up the plea, seeking deferment of Ayodhya/Babri Masjid verdict.

Earlier, the apex court had stayed the Special bench of Allahabad High Court long awaited verdict by one week till September 28.

The court passed the stay order on a reconciliation plea filed by a retired bureaucrat Ramesh Chandra Tripathi.

Tripathi approached the Supreme Court after Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court dismissed his plea and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on him.

The apex court stayed the much awaited verdict by one week to explore any possibilities to find out amicable solution into the 60-year-old dispute.

The Special Ayodhya Bench of Allahabad High Court was scheduled to pronounce the verdict on September 24.

However, the both the litigators have dismissed any possibilities of out-of-court settlement.
