Ayodhya Dispute: Defying law & order, Ordinance for Ram Temple would backfire BJP

There is an enormous pressure on the ruling party from sections of the Sangh Parivar to take a firm step defying Indian judiciary and to establish a Ram temple at the site of demolished Babri Masjid.

Though Ayodhya title suit is still pending in the SC and any legal action against the judiciary will be liable to contempt of courts and can be challenged in the court, a blunder if made can have enormous negative repercussions for India’s polity.

VHP and RSS both organizations are pressuring the ruling government to take strong steps against the law and order and establish a Ram temple.

Only recently RSS chief Bhagwat did make a bold statement that the ruling party should make a legislation on the matter that will help in establishing Ram Temple on the disputed land which can ensure the victory of Hindus.

Above all, the Sangh group claims that faith is above everything else, but, this is not a principle that Indian Constitution supports and can have a negative impact if any such ordinance is made on the matter.

Now speaking of political calculations, even winning the next general elections through whatever means necessary means would not ensure ruling party can make such legislation since it lacks members required in Rajya Sabha, TOI reports.

This move, if still taken like previously passed Adhhar act through money bill or even the GST, can strongly backfire given the sensitive nature of the case, even the neutral parties like BJD and AIADMK are likely to oppose the decision.

The Indian economy is already in a fragile state with GST. The economy was only recovering from huge losses from the suddenly imposed demonization and had only begun to crawl when the ruling party imposed GST, plunging the economy further into doom.
