Ayesha Meera case: inquiry commission formed for re-investigation

Hyderabad: Government of Andhra Pradesh has set up a special inquiry commission to re-investigate Ayesha Meera case which created flutters in united Andhra Pradesh.

It must be recalled that Ayesha Meera was brutally killed in a hospital at Ibrahim Patnam, Vijayawada in December 2007. Police which investigated on different angles had arrested an innocent youth named Satyam Babu on August 17, 2008. Admonishing police officials on misleading the case, the High Court ordered re-investigation of the case.

On the recommendation of DGP Samba Shiva Rao, the government has decided to set up special Inquiry Commission. Principal Secretary Home Department has ordered setting up of inquiry commission headed by DIG rank official. Vijayawada police commissioner Gautam Sawang will head the commission.
