Till yesterday the person who was spreading awareness about the importance of voting and was urging people to cast their votes in the elections, was himself deprived his right to vote. It must be recalled that Election Commission had roped in Telugu film comedian Brahmanand for promoting awareness. However when he reached polling station yesterday along with his wife, his name was missing from the voter’s list he returned without exercising his franchise.
As per the reports names of thousands of people are missing from voters’ list. When asked about this Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal said that Election Commission had given a chance to include name in the voter’s list; had voters reviewed the list they could know presence or absence of their name but they didn’t avail the opportunity.
