Aiming at creating awareness among Muslims regarding Telangana government’s proposed Minority Residential School scheme, a meeting is going to be organised on Sunday, May 8, at 4 pm at Mahboob Husain Jigar Hall, Siasat premises.
Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan will preside over the meeting, while B Shafiullah, Secretary, Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) along with other officials of the scheme will attend the meeting and will provide information regarding the facilities to be provided by government of Telangana.
It must be noted that considering the backwardness of the minority community, the government of Telangana is starting Minority Residential Schools in all districts of the state. In the initial phase, 71 schools are being started for 5th to 7th class and around Rs. 80,000 would be spent on each student per year. Boarding, food, uniform, medical facilities, computer classes, syllabus books will be provided free of cost.
Political and social organisations need to come forward to create awareness among minority community, so that elimination of educational and economic backwardness is ensured. Political, apolitical and social organisations belonging to city and districts are welcome to the meeting.
