Maulana Syed Hamed Husain Shuttari spokesman All India Sunni Ulama Board, Maulana Mufti Mohammed Kazim Husain and Maulana Mufti Abdul Wasey in a joint statement strongly condemned celebration of Yoga Day in India under the patronisation of BJP. They told that Surya Namaskar or Vandemataram clashed with religious feelings of Muslims.
‘Muslim worships only One God. He does not worship, sun, moon, earth, sky or stars but thanks the one and only Creator and King Allah’ they said. ‘We appeal to all Muslims especially Muslim management schools to keep the innocent children from this unwarranted movement and not to observe any such thing in their schools. This act would be helpful for restoring the glory of Muslim community.’
