Avoid outdoor fried food items during Ramadan

Mostly the fasting persons get into trouble during Ramadan due to change in food habits and imbalance diet. This year the month of Ramadan falls during rainy season hence care must be taken while taking food. Carelessness may disturb the digestive system and increases risk of getting sick. Although outdoor fried food items must be avoided at all times but it is more important to avoid them during rainy season and fasting. The fried food item available in the market is made of substandard ingredients. Generally roadside food items are fried in cotton seed oil which is harmful for health. Apart from that the besan (gram flour) used for preparing mirchi bhajya etc is not purely made of gram but is mixed with jowar (Sorghum), maize (Makai), broken rice (Kanki) and batata (sweet potato).

The Besan available in the market is generally not pure; hence it is better to grind gram flour at house. Even the black pepper powder available at the stores is not pure it is mixed with the powder of papaya seeds.

Doctors advise that not more than one fried food item should be used in Iftar or Suhr. Not only fried food items but non-seasonal fruits should also be avoided.
