Avoid marriage expenses and remove Educational backwardness- Zahid Ali Khan

The campaign of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily has crossed the boundaries of India and it is reaching overseas. The NRIs in the Middle East have promised to support his campaign. Mr. Khudad Khan, Managing Director of Adride group, UAE and Qatar and Chairman of Inayath Millath Well care Charitable Trust has arranged Hyderabadi seminar in Dubai in which Mr. Zahid Ali Khan participated as the Chief Guest. He was felicitated by the Hyderabadis. Mr. Khudad Khan presided over the function and declared his full support to his campaign and said that every responsible person should support it. This movement can guarantee the welfare of Muslim community.

In his speech, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that arrangement of delicious dishes in marriages, marriage halls decorated with flowers etc., cost a lot. This expenditure could be saved and the same could be utilized for the marriages of many destitute Muslim girls who are waiting to meet marriage expenses for a long time. By avoiding extra expenses in marriages, the educational backwardness of the Muslims could be reduced. Everybody should feel his responsibility to support this movement. He also told that he is against mentioning beauty, fair colour and standard marriage in matrimonial advertisements. People should consider this also. He mentioned that he himself did not attend the marriage of his niece since a large marriage hall was booked for wedding arrangements. He declared that he would not attend marriages in which there is pomp and pride or delicious dishes are served. He also said that he will not publish the photos of such marriages in Siasat Newspaper. He suggested that in order to avoid unnecessary expenditure, marriages should be arrange after Asar prayer. The huge amount which are spent in marriage could be saved and the same could be utilized for improving our educational backwardness.

Mr. Shaik Zafarul Hasan told that before the advent of Islam, people used to bury their daughters alive. Islam eradicated this evil custom but these days the rituals of marriages have increased to such an extent that it has become difficult for the parents of the bride to celebrate marriage. He mentioned that a youth had told him that he had to sell one of his kidneys to celebrate his sister’s marriage. If he is required to sell another kidney, his life would be finished. Mr. Hafiz Nizamuddin extended his support to Mr. Zahid Ali Khan’s campaign and said that all the Hyderabadis support his movement. A large number of Hyderabadis attended the function and congratulated Mr. Zahid Ali Khan for launching this campaign.
