A Muslim youth who was trying to escape from being caught by the police in recent communal cases today died when he jumped from his residence. According to the sources Syed Faisal Mujeeb alias Mujju a car driver by profession was sittng on the terrace of his residence in Asmangadh area of Malakpet.
In the meantime a police party arrived in the area in order to arrest few youths allegedly involved in the Saidabad and Madannapet communal riots. On hearing about the police team Faisal tried to escape from his residence and he jumped from second floor but he fell in a nearby water sump. The youth succumbed to the head injury on the spot.
Tension prevailed in the area after Muslim youths in large number gathered and staged a protest against the police harassement.
