Autos to go off road in city from Sunday midnight

Autorickshaws in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad would go off the road from November 27 midnight in response to a nation-wide Bandh call given by the Opposition parties in protest against demonetization of big currency notes and demanding measures to save the common man from its bad effects.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, JAC leader Mohd. Amanullah Khan said that some 80 cash-starved persons already died due to demonetization and questioned the Prime Minister as how many more lives he wants to take away by his sadistic attitude. Will the Prime Minister compensate the day-to-day loss being suffered by poor as a result of his demonetization decision or will he bring back the lives of those who died while standing in serpentine queues to exchange their old Rs 500 and 1000 notes.

He also questioned the Prime Minister as to what the common man has got to do with black money and why he should be made a scapegoat for the sins of the others.  Further, he criticized those sitting in the same boat beside Modi and warned they would pay a heavy price for the irreparable blunder. He also appealed to the auto drivers in the twin cities to participate in the proposed November 28 one-day auto bandh and make it a total success.

JAC leaders A Satti Reddy, A. Narender, Rafathullah Baig, M.A. Saleem, G. Mallesh Goud, Yadagiri, S. Ashok, K. Krishna, A. Ganapathi, Mohd. Azeemuddin, Farooq Bhai, Latif and other leaders were present at the press meet.  (NSS)
