Auto strike from friday midnight

The Auto Driver Union Joint Action Committee (ADU-JAC) has called for an strike in the twin cities from Friday midnight of January 17, stressing on immediate fixation of auto fare structures similar to those in neighbouring States.

JAC leader Amanullah Khan along with other leaders said that the strike had been announced, demanding immediate scrapping of Rs 1,000 fine for traffic offences, cancellation of GO No. 108 and hike in minimum auto fare.

Amanullah Khan says “We the auto union demand a fare amendment, exemption from eight class pass condition to obtain driving licence, exemption from police e-challan system and establishment of welfare board for auto-drivers.”
