Auto drivers stage dharna at RTC crossroads

Auto drivers belonging to Telangana State Auto Driver Unions JAC today staged a dharna RTC crossroads in protest against the “abnormal increase” in different RTA-Fee-Structure and demanded that the Chief Minister immediately fulfill his promise to exempt auto drivers from 8th class pass condition to obtain DL and Badge. They also raised slogans against the Prime Minister and Telangana Chief Minister.

 

Speaking on the occasion, TADJAC leader Mohd Amanullah Khan warned that if the abnormal increase in the different RTA fee structure was not withdrawn immediately, the auto drivers would be forced to intensify their agitation.

 

TADJAC leaders B. Venkatesham, V. Kiran, M.A Saleem, Narender, Mirza Rafath Baig, Dasari Ramesh and Mohd Dastagir also spoke. The dharna lasted for 45 minutes and the drivers dispersed peacefully after the protest. During the protest dharna, the vehicular traffic came to a standstill at the RTC crossroads. (NSS)
