Auto driver threatens to kill himself after traffic police imposes fine

Hyderabad: Panic was created in Machlikaman area of Old City when an auto driver climbed fencing erected for the repair works of Machlikaman and threatened to jump from it.

He was irritated that traffic police had imposed a fine of Rs. 600 and seized his auto. However, traffic police had promised to return the auto rickshaw to him on payment of a fine. He paid the challan and went to the place where traffic police had fined him. When he found that his auto rickshaw is missing, he got panicky. He was informed that his autorickshaw has been transported to Ghoshamahal police stadium.

He got irritated and indulged in heated arguments with the police constable. The auto driver, Sirajuddin climbed Machlikaman and threatened to kill himself. On getting assurance from the police that his auto would be given back to him, he came down. Later, his auto rickshaw was handed over to him.
