Australia, March 08: An Australian college lecturer is facing jail after concealing a camera in a student house to watch female tenants shower, The Sun reports.
Paul Powen Hwang, 33, hid the device in the bathroom air freshener of a house he rented to a group of girls in the UK.
He was rumbled when a tenant spotted that it was “following her around the room.”
She took it apart and found a digital camera connected to a battery and called in cops.
Hwang, an Australian who has taught at Oxford and Cambridge, lectured on business studies at University College Birmingham.
The house is in the Ladywood area of the central English city.
He quit his post after his crime came to light in October 2009.
He pleaded guilty to voyeurism at Birmingham Crown Court last month and will be sentenced next week.
