IT & Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today informed that the Telangana State was ready to work in close association with a team of Australia Consulate.
The team called on the minister at Secretariat and both parties discussed on improving bilateral ties. The minister informed the visitors that the Telangana government was ready to work with Australia in sectors such as education, food processing, agriculture, tourism and other sectors of mutual interest. He explained about various schemes and priority sectors through focus by the Telangana Government in three years.
When the minister sought, the team promised to cooperate for investments in the youngest State in priority sectors. The Australian delegation also said it will help set up a Mining University in Telangana in collaboration with Queens Land University and will help to develop in education, food processing, agriculture and tourism sectors. Those who met the minister include Australia Consulate General Shan Kelly, India Economic Strategy (Project Leader) Peter Verghis and others. (NSS)
