Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S K Joshi today stressed the need for providing direct flights between Hyderabad and Australia and strengthening bilateral ties.
A delegation of Australia called on the Chief Secretary at the Secretariat here. On the occasion, they exchanged views and shared ideas on sectors for mutual cooperation, including education, agriculture, employment training, Tourism and IT. Joshi said an action plan would be prepared for the purpose to strengthening the ties between Telangana and Australia.
A delegation of Australia Northern Territory comprising Government Education & Workforce Minister Selena Uibo, Economic Counsellor Timothy Kendall, First Assistant Secretary Ms Lyndal Corbett, Chief of Staff Rober Picton and others met the Chief Secretary, who apprised the team of ample scope for mutual cooperation in the sectors such as Education, skill development, Agriculture, Tourism, IT, V-Hub for encouraging Women Entrepreneurs, Start-Up companies. Technical Education Commissioner Naveen Mittal, who was present, sought cooperation in the fields like Engineering, skill development and Online Education.
In turn, Australian Northern Territory Education Minister Selena Uibo stated they would sign a deal for trades and offered to provide help and cooperation in the fields of Education, Solid Waste Management and Disaster Management.
