Johannesburg, Dec.1 : Cricket Australia (CA) are planning to schedule more day-night Test matches following the overwhelming success of the new experiment against New Zealand at the Adelaide Oval.
Australia and New Zealand created history by playing the iconic longer format of the game under floodlights for the first-time ever, which saw the pink ball dominating the bat as thirty-seven wickets tumbled in three days and was also watched by a total of 123,736 fans inside the stadium.
Confirming the news, CA chief executive James Sutherland insisted that they were looking forward to schedule more day-night Tests, keeping in mind the interest of the fans, Sport24 reported.
Hailing the experiment, Sutherland said that the day-night matches would help to attract greater audience and also help in growing the interest towards the format.
The 50-year-old also suggested that other Test playing nations should host their own day-night matches. (ANI)
