Ambedkar University of Distance Education (AUDE) organized a three-day seminar on ‘Right to Information (RTI) Act’ on Thursday. The objective was to create awareness among citizens about the necessity of RTI Act implementation .
Speaking on the occasion, Information Commissioner Vijay Babu said democratic fruits could reach the citizens only when the objectives of RTI Act were fulfilled. He felt the conduct such awareness programs would certainly help the citizens.
He appealed to other universities and NGOs to take initiative in conducting such awareness programs. (NSS)
