AUCET applications on sale

Vishakhapatnam, March 01: Sale of applications for the Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) 2011 commenced on Monday. Admission into various courses of Andhra University, Aadi Kavi Nannaya University (Rajahmundry) and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (Etcherla, Srikakulam) will be through AUCET 2011, Director of AU Directorate of Admissions O. Aniel Kumar informed. Sale of applications is being done through the offices of Principals of AU campus colleges of arts, science and engineering. Application form can be obtained by paying Rs. 350 in cash. Application form can be received in post also, by sending a DD fro Rs. 350 to the Director of Directorate of Admissions here by March 21. The tests in arts and science subjects have been tentatively scheduled to be held from April 27 to May 1.

Prof. Aniel Kumar said the following courses with Intermediate (10 plus two) as qualification were covered by AUCET 2011: five-year integrated MS programme in science and arts (applied chemistry, geology and economics in AU and mathematics and computing, petroleum exploration, biotechnology, microbiology and economics in AKNU); five-year integrated dual degree programmes in engineering (CSSE, CSIT, EEE, ECE, civil and mechanical branches) leading to B.E. plus M.E. or B.Tech. plus M.Tech.; twinning programme of B. Eggg. in aircraft engineering in collaboration with Perth College (UK.

Tests for these courses will be held on May 15 tentatively.
