Central Hajj Committee has taken a decision to provide an opportunity for performing Hajj pilgrimage for the second time to such of the persons who are attendants of aged (70 years) pilgrims and the Mehrams of women pilgrims.
This facility has been provided by amending the regulations of the Ministry of External affairs. Such persons wont be entitled to subsidy. They have to pay full airfare. Dr. Syed Shakir Hussain CEO of Hajj Committee informed this. There was an apprehension that the cancellation of facility for performing Hajj for second time would be challenged in court and hence this amendment has been issued.
