(Siasat News) Masjid Kalan, Kulsoompura, situated at Karwan has more than 7,500 acres of Wakf land according to Wakf Board records. These entries are available with Survey numbers in the report of Survey Comissioner. The mosque is situated on a land admeasuring 765 acres and 11 guntas. With the connivance of the persons responsible for the security of the Mosque, only a few yards of the land has been left out. Due to the negligence of the custodians of the Mosque property worth crores of rupees is in the illegal possessions of other people. These persons got houses and commercial complexes constructed on this Wakf land. The miscreants have an eye on the western side land of the Mosque which covers an area of 265 Sq. Yards. Many a time, attempts were made to usurp this land but due to the timely complaints given to police by the members of Deccan Wakf Protection Society these attempts were foiled. The miscreants have started digging pits on this land yesterday.
On the instructions from Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor Siasat and President Deccan Wakf Society, Mr. Osman Bin Mohammed Al-Hajiri and Mr. Mohammed Abdul Basith represented the matter to Chairman of A.P. State Wakf Board Maulana Syed Ghulam Afzal Biyabani and requested him to save this Wakf property from the land grabbers.
The Chairman sent a team led by Mr. Mohammed Abdul Qudduoos accompanied by Mr. Shujath, Surveyor. Mr. Abdul Quddoos lodged a compliant with Inspector of Police, Tappachabootra. He sent the police constables. On receipt of the information, the land grabbers fled. Mr. Osman Al-Hajiri thanked the Chairman of Wakf Board for taking timely action to save Wakf property. Present on this occasion were Mr. Iqbal, Mr. D. Sanstosh and Mr. Mohammed Zakir.
