TRS activists attacked Congress MLA Chinna Reddy when the latter tried to silence the TRS and Congress activists, who were at loggerheads in Venkatapuram village in Mahabub Nagar district on Monday.
Reacting on the attack, Opposition leaders in Telangana State Legislative Assembly and Council K Jana Reddy and Mohd Shabbir Ali respectively, alleged that the attack on Chinna Reddy by TRS activists was atrocious. They warned that the Congress cadre will take revenge in its style if the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao failed to control his party activists. They alleged that the police behaved like TRS agents in this episode.
TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy described the attack on Chinna Reddy as atrocious and suggested to the officials to follow the protocol during the foundation laying programs as part of developmental activities. He said that he will meet the Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary on Tuesday demanding the latter to punish the attackers of Chinna Reddy. (NSS)
