Hyderabad, April 15: Police have arrested 5 persons in connection with the attack on Muslim youth at Madannapet and they are likely to be remanded into judicial custody.
It should be recalled that some miscreants of majority community had attacked Muslim youth and left them severely injured. The incident had created stir across the city and police had remained more vigilant as precautionary measure.
ACP Santosh Nagar Mohammad Ismail said that five persons, Ramesh, Madan, Naveen, Sundeep and Chanakya of Sai Lalakotta, Madannapet had been arrested in the case.
He told that police had been alerted on all sensitive areas of Santoshnagar division and police picket had been deployed following Wednesday’s incident.
Police have also enhanced patrolling and surveillance.
