It seems that the condition of the Muslims in the entire world is becoming worse to worst day by day. The silence of the Islamic world is encouraging the enemies of Islam.
Atrocities are being meted out to the Muslims in Burma for quite sometime. Genocide of the Muslims is being done. The silence of UNO is also encouraging them. Muslims are being killed in Burma everyday. Their mosques and economy is being destroyed.
The tragedy is that these atrocities are being done by the followers of Budhism which is supposed to be the religion of peace. The entire humanity is ashamed of this heinous crime. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Mohammed Abdur Rahim Quraishi, President of Tameer-e-Millat on the convened by Galaxy Education & Medical Society.
This meeting was held at Galaxy College. Its topic was “The Bloodshed of the Burmese Muslims and indifference of the world”.
Continuing his presidential address, Mr. Quraishi said that in the present context the Islamic world should feel its responsibilities and exert pressure on the UNO to send its impartial army immediately. He told that he has invited the attentions of Dr. Manmohan Singh and Mr. Salman Khursheed.
He lamented that the western media is not presenting these atrocities properly. The silence of the western media is getting serious situation. The meeting started with the recitation of the Quranic verses by Mr. Mohammed Abdul Qayum Shakir. Mr. Omer Ahmed Shafeeq, Secretary of the city Majlis-e-Tameer-e-Millat, Hyderabad also addressed the gathering. In his speech, he said that on seeing the exhibition of the pictures of Burmese communal riots, it seems that humanity has been finished from this world.
Mr. Mohammed Sajid conducted the meeting. Mr. Mohammed Ashfaque presented Naath-e-Shareef. A picture exhibition was arranged on this occasion which depicted the pathetic condition of the Muslims affected by communal riots in Burma.
