Astronauts aboard the International Space Station are in for a rare treat as an unmanned cargo shuttle that took off Sunday night is carrying a freezer containing ice cream.
The Dragon capsule, built by the private spaceflight company SpaceX, lifted off from the Cape Canaveral air force station in Florida.
The capsule is packed with 454 kg of cargo, including experiment hardware, spare parts, clothing, food — and a freezer.
Taking advantage of the freezer, ice cream was included, reported Xinhua.
