Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali assured the office bearers of Urdu Academy, Jeddah that orders will be issued soon for the inclusion of Urdu as a compulsory subject in all the schools of the State.
Mr. Jamal Qadri, President of Urdu Academy, Jeddah led a delegation and presented a resolution of the academy. In the resolution it was stated that Mr. KCR and his Ministers have expressed their intention to do justice by including Urdu as one of the compulsory subject in schools on the lines of Asafia Government. Govt. has not issued any GO or notification so far. Various organizations of NRIs in the Gulf countries requested the Government of Telangana to issue orders for the inclusion of Urdu as compulsory subject in the curriculum of schools in order to maintain communal harmony and also to protect the culture and civilization of Urdu language to transmit its values to the younger generation.
