(Siasat News)A delegation of the leaders of Telangana Urdu Teachers’ Association consisting Khaja Naseerddin, (President) Nayeemuddin Ahmed (general Secretary) Mohammed Zafar Khan (Secretary) Faseehuddin (Member) and others met District Educational Officer, Karimnagar Mr. K. Lingaiah and presented to him the gift of palm dates on the occasion of Ramzan.
These leaders demanded him to promote eligible teachers to the 70% vacant posts in order to overcome the shortage of teachers in Urdu Medium schools.
DEO expressed his positive attitude over this representation and assured the delegation that he would take steps to promote the deserving teachers. He said that he would also try to fill up Secondary Grade Trained teachers’ vacancies through District Selection Committee’s Test.
DEO told that Union leaders that he has discussed the representation of Teachers’ Union for the inclusion of Secondary Grade Trained teachers of Urdu Medium also in D.S.C test with Mr. Shiva Shanker, Director of School Education. The Union leaders suggested to DEO to depute the surplus staff of Urdu medium teachers against the existing vacancies. The DEO promised to consider this demand positively. The leaders demanded the Govt. to supply Urdu Medium textbooks to the students on time.
