Assembly media point turns into a Boxing Ring!

The Media Point on the Assembly premises seems to be turning into a venue for challenges and counter challenges, heated arguments and some times exchanging blows between the Telangana and Seemandhra legislators.
On Monday, unruly scenes took place at the Media Point, which was used by the legislators to address the newspersons. The seemandhra TDP MLAs and TRS legislators came to near blows at the Media Point. While talking to the media, Seemandhra TDP MLAs – Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao and Dhulipala Narendra — tore copes of draft Telangana Bill and thrown them into air.

An annoyed TRS MLA Gangula Kamalakar, who came to the media point at that moment, rushed towards the duo and shouted at them loudly. An alert police officer rushed to the spot and grabbed the TRS MLA.

On the other side, the Telangana journalists also raised slogans of “Jai Telangana”. However, the Seemandhra MLAs managed to leave the media point with police security.

When the YSR Congress Party MLAs resorted to such action, TRS MLAs Gangula Kamalakar and Bixapathi rushed towards them. The police had a tough time to control the legislators of both sides. At a moment, Bixapathi threw a plastic chair towards the YSR Congress legislators.

One journalist snatched copy of draft Telangana Bill from the hands of YSR Congress Party legislator Srikanth Reddy when he tried to tear it off while speaking to the media. At that moment, policemen remained confused over what was happening at the media point as camera men were around the legislators, who came to Media Point.
DCP Kamalahasan Reddy visited the media point and gave some instructions to the police personnel, who were deployed there. (NSS)
