Hyderabad, February 22: Assembly marshals on Monday physically obstructed the suspended TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy from entering the Assembly lobbies. Revanth Reddy was suspended from the Assembly for seven days for his unruly behaviour towards Governor ESL Narasimhan recently.
When the MLA tried to enter the Assembly lobbies, the marshals and the police prevented him at the MLAs gate. But Revanth Reddy waited near the gate for more than twenty minutes.
On coming to know of this, TTDPF convenor N Janardhan Reddy and other TDP MLAs rushed to the gate and took Reddy into the inner lobbies of the Assembly along with them.
He could not, however, attend the regular businesses in the Assembly.
Later, the Telangana TDP MLAs lodged a protest with the deputy speaker N Manohar.
In turn, Manohar reportedly pulled up the security personnel for the use of unwarranted force in preventing the MLA from entering the Assembly lobbies.
