CPI MLA K Sambhasiva Rao on Wednesday came down heavily on the State Government for not responding on important public issues in the budget session of the State Legislative Assembly.
Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, Sambhasiva Rao said that though CPI raised 44 questions, moved 16 adjournment motions and 200 cut motions in the House, the government has totally failed to give reply on anyone. “This clearly shows that the government lacks commitment towards people’s issues,” he said. “If the government is not ready to respond on people’s issues, then what is the use for MLAs to come to the House?” he asked.
Though the State has been facing severe drought, power crisis and Telangana problem, the government was not showing its commitment and will power to address these issues, he said. He warned that the government would face people’s wrath if it does not change its attitude.
CPI (M) floor leader Julakanti Rangareddy expressed concern over the wasting of public money without taking up healthy discussion on public issues in the House. He said that all important issues got sidelined in the House due to disruption of proceedings on various issues including Telangana.
Julakanti appealed to the government to focus its attention on resolving public issues on top priority basis by taking up healthy discussion in the House. (INN)
