Hyderabad, March 12: The destruction of statues on the statues on Thursday by Telangana agitators was discussed for more than five hours by the State Assembly yesterday. The House also condemned the attacks on some public representatives and mediapersons.
As soon as the House met at 9 am, deputy speaker N Manohar announced his decision not to allow adjournment motions on the Tank Bund violence for which notices were given by TDP and CPI members.

TDP members, holding placards and shouting slogans, rushed to the podium demanding immediate discussion and the resignation of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
During a brief adjournment, the deputy speaker held a meeting in his chambers with the floor leaders and decided to allow the home minister to make a statement on the incident.
After the debate the House was adjourned till Monday.
