Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has said the Assembly Budget Session will begin from March 11.
Speaking to the media at the Secretariat on Tuesday, Anam said the Legislative Assembly Speaker and Legislative Council Chairman gave tentative dates for conduct of the budget session. Stating that the process of 2013-14 budget will be completed from March 11 to 15, he said Vote on Account Budget will be introduced for the first three months of the financial year and the full-fledged budget will be adopted by May 15.
The Finance Minister said the State government proposed to the Speaker and the Council Chairman to conduct the Budget Session for 38 days. He said the Assembly will follow the traditions of Parliament and discussions will be held first at Standing Committees on the budget and later in the Assembly and Council. He said the Money Transfer Scheme will be launched from April 1 in the State. (NSS)
