Telangana State Legislative Assembly and Council were adjourned sine die on Wednesday.
Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhan Chary announced that the house is being adjourned sine die after conducting it for seven days. Though the BAC had decided a schedule of 10 days for the session, that was cut to 7 days as the speaker preferred to wind up its business. The reason is the absence of opposition members who were suspended from the house until the end of the session for storming the podium of the Speaker.
There was a sort of discontent and laxity among ministers and members of the ruling party as the house sans opposition members. At this juncture, a reluctant KCR prompted the speaker to adjourn the house sine die after his brief speech on welfare schemes on the last day. (NSS)
