The government has not returned airport user charges as promised to the Hajj aspirants of the year 2013. It must be recalled that Kiran Kumar Reddy government had announced to pay 50% user charges by the government and had sanctioned 74 lakh rupees in this connection. However the amount was not released by the finance department. But the present government didn’t bother to fulfill the promise.
In 2013 each Hajj aspirant paid Rs. 1820 as user charges. As per the government’s announcement Rs. 910 had to be paid back to the aspirants but the matter became victim of redtapism and there is no possibility of sanction of file in current situation.
