Students aspiring to seek admission in Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) are facing disappointment due to university conditions. Admission into the university established to meet the expectations of Urdu knowing people has become a problem which resulted in most of the seats remaining vacant. The new conditions stipulated by the university have created hurdles for the students. University has prescribed the upper age limit for male candidates as 28 years and for female candidates as 31 for candidates aspiring to seek admission in PG programmes as a result only 10 out of 30 seats could be filled in some departments.
Experts and intellectuals feel that such orders should immediately be repealed lest the Urdu knowing community should be deprived of higher education.
