Hyderabad, June 06: The police on Sunday arrested 15 aspirants for the Sub-Inspectors’ posts for obstructing a meeting of MPs, MLAs and Telangana leaders which was being held at Exhibition Society Office in Nampally.
The aspirant had earlier raised slogans against the government and staged a dharna in front of Exhibition Society Office. They were demanding the resignation of Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and the MPs for their failure to make efforts for the deletion of Clause 14(F) from the Presidential Order that makes Hyderabad a Free Zone for recruitments in the Police Department.
“The failure of the elected representatives to protect the interests of aspirants from Telangana for the Sub-Inspectors posts shows that they have no concern towards the people of the region,” stated one such aspirant, Govinda Raju.
Mr Raju further said alleged that the MPS and Home Minister are not bothered if the aspirant students from Telangana suffer.
e and his fellow protestors demanded the Legislators resign from their posts for their failure to make efforts for the removal of Clause 14(F) of the Presidential Order.
The SI candidates threatened to picket the residences of MPs in Telangana region if they failed to get the clause 14(F) from the Presidential Orders deleted.
They also warned the government not to go ahead with the recruitments until the controversial Clause is not deleted.
The police arrested them for their efforts and shifted them to the Begum Bazaar police station.
