Mumbai, March 24: Salman and Asin grew quite close on the sets of Vipul Shah’s London Dreams during the making of the film. Even though the film tanked, Salman stayed in touch with Asin. There was buzz that he had even helped her get an apartment in the suburbs.
Sources also reveal that Salman was instrumental in getting Asin the project.
The original is a Telugu film that starred south actor Ram and Genelia in the lead roles. It was one of the highest grossing films of 2008 and is a romantic comedy. Anees Bazmee plans to retain several funny sequences from the original in the remake.
Bhushan Kumar of T-Series confirmed the development saying, “Yes we are producing the film and it goes on floor in June. Talks are on but I can’t comment on the casting.”
