(Siasat News)Mr. Hasan Ahmed, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Asif Nagar was awarded President’s Police medal in recognition of his meritorious service. Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, C.M. of A.P. awarded this medal to him at Secunderabad Parade Ground on the occasion of Independence Day on 15th August.
He is the only police officer in the state associated with law and order duties that has been selected for this award.
Mr. Hasan Ahmed was appointed in police service in 1976. He was promoted as Head Constable in 2003 and as Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police in 2009.
During his 36 years of service, he worked in Crime Branch, Task Force, and DCP office West Zone in various capacities. While he was working in Crime Branch, he had unearthed fake currency notes racket of Rs.2.36 crore. He was awarded Seva Padakam in 1994 and Uttam Seva Padakam in 2003. In all, he got 320 awards including 190 cash awards G.S.E. awards so far.
