Ashok Chavan dominates in Nanded

Nanded, October 12: Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan proved his supremacy in Nanded district with the Congress winning all the six seats it contested. One seat was won by NCP dissident and the other by NCP.

In Bhokar constituency, Chavan created history by winning the seat by a margin of 1,07,229 votes.

In Nanded north constituency, D P Sawant of the Congress defeated Anusaya Khedkar of Shiv Sena by 45,881 votes whereas in Nanded south Omprakash Pokharna of the party trounced Hemant Patil of Shiv Sena by 17,464 votes.

Degloor seat was won by Raosaheb Antapurkar of the Congress who defeated his nearest rival Subash Sabne of Shiv Sena by 6,011 votes.

In Mukhed, Hanumant Patil Belmogrekar defeated Vasant Sambtuwad of the Shiv Sena by 15,505 votes.

In Loha constituency, Shankar Dhondge of the NCP emerged victorious. He defeated Independent Partap Patil Chiklikar by a margin of 10,560.
