Ashok babu wants Legislators to defeat T bill in assembly

APNGO president P Ashok Babu today said the proposed joint capital after bifurcation of the State, would be like a kingdom without a king, and this was proved by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Ashok Babu was addressing a mahadharna camp at Indira Park here, organized by Samaikya rasthra Parirakshna Samithi. If Hyderabad become joint capital, Andhra Pradesh would face the same situation that Arvind Kejriwal witnessed, he warned. He said that it was good that all the parties came to a common platform at a time when the Samikyandhra agitation was in its second stage.

He said that due to the efforts of the APNGOs, the division of State was delayed. He wanted the MLAs to defeat the draft Telangana Bill in the State Assembly so that the bifurcation could be stalled. He also wanted the Legislators to see that there was discussion in the House in a peaceful atmosphere.

In the Mahadhana, Ministers Erasu Pratap Reddy, Ganta Srinivas Rao, T G venkatesh, MPs Lagadapati Rajgopal, C M Ramesh, MLAs belonging to TDP and Congress, employees and representatives of NGOs participated. Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that there was no reason for division of the State and the decision has no backing of the people. Unless the decision was taken back, the Government has to face the wrath of the people, he warned.

T G Venkatesh said the decision on state bifurcation was not a correct one. Erasu Pratap Reddy said that the draft T Bill contained no objectives or ideals. (NSS)
