Muzaffarnagar: A court today issued orders to produce Kartik Halder, an alleged henchman of Asaram, in connection with the Akhil Gupta murder case on October 14.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Garima Choudhry issued the orders on request of the local police, which said it was necessary to produce Halder to proceed with investigations in the case.
The accused was arrested in March from Chhattisgarh and is lodged at Ahmedabad jail .
The police would take him in custody after he is brought from Ahmedabad.
Gupta was shot by unidentified persons here and was declared brought dead by doctors.
He was a cook and a personal aide of Asaram, who is in jail since August 2013 for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.
