Government Whip in the Council Rudraraju Padmaraju has accused the Hyderabad MP and MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi of spreading falsehood stating that the Chief Minister had permitted constructions at Bhagyalaxmi temple abutting Charminar.
Speaking to the media at the CLP office here on Tuesday, Padmaraju said the Chief Minister enforced the High Court order regarding construction activity at Bhagyalakshmi temple and it was not correct on the part of Asaduddin Owaisi to spread falsehood in this regard.
Padmaraju said the Congress government only developed the Old City and it was not correct for the MIM Chief to throw mud on the Congress. He said the Bhagyalaxmi Temple at Charminar remained a replica to the unity of Hindus and Muslims in the Old City. He said that in the Vemulawada temple too, there was goddess Durga’s idol inside the Rajanna Temple and the devotees of both the religions respecting the feelings of each other and protecting unity of Hindu and Muslims. It was not correct on the part of Asaduddin to spit venom at this juncture in the name of religion.
