Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi pooh poohed welcoming gesture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who embraced UAE crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan.
It must be recalled that when the prince arrived in New Delhi to participate in India’s Republic Day celebrations as chief guest, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted him with, quite literally, open arms. His gestures amused Owaisi. Ridiculing Modi’s gesture Mr. Asad Owaisi said it seemed like Modi had forgotten to do his yoga in the morning. So when the prince arrived in the evening, by his gestures, it looked like he was doing yoga with his open arms. Asad Owaisi said this while addressing a public meeting in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday. He questioned scoffingly “if Modi has so much love for a bearded man from abroad, why does he not show the same love to bearded men in India?”
MIM supremo seemed to be cautious in not using the word `Muslims’ as it would have violated the Supreme Court orders on seeking votes in the name of religion.
