Asaduddin Owaisi is holding rally for the first time in UP today

Lucknow: Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, MIM President and MP of Hyderabad is taking out a rally in Faizabad, UP addressing a gathering of downtrodden and poor people. This rally has been planned keeping in view the bypoll to be held in Bikapur on 13th February.

MIM has plans to stake a huge claim in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls likely to be held next year. The party is depending on the weaker sections to forge Dalit-Muslim vote bank in UP.
It is important to note that MIM has been given permission for the first time to organize a rally in UP.

Mr. Owaisi said that he is focusing on Samajwadi Party which exploited Muslims and Dalits. MIM floated Pradeep Kumar Kori, who is a local Dalit leader as a candidate for Bikapur Assembly bypoll.

When people asked him why he has nominated a dalit candidate from a general seat, Mr. Owaisi replied that Dr. Ambedkar enjoyed full support of the Muslims when he fought elections. Muslims and Dalits, both are the deprived sections of the society. They have been denied their legitimate rights. SP gave rights to Muslims but neglected Dalits. SP also kept quiet on the death of Dalit scholar of University of Hyderabad, Rohith Vemula.

Criticizing BJP, Mr. Owaisi told that this party claims to be the champion of Dalits but it does nothing for their welfare. It organizes programmes and showers praises on Dr. Ambedkar which is nothing but lip service.
