Asaduddin Owaisi demands DSC for Urdu medium

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday demanded that the State Government conduct DSC for Urdu Medium in Telangana State.

“After rationalization in July 2015 many Urdu Medium Government High School subject teachers are not available in Bahadurpura Mandal due to the negligence of Deputy Education Officer Nehru Babu. Five Urdu Medium High Schools GHS Tadban (Maths teacher), GHS Shakker Gunj (Telugu Teacher) GBHS Petla Bruj (Bio-Science Teacher), GHS Moghalpura-I (Physical Science Teacher) and GHS Urdu Sharief (Telugu teacher)
are working without subject teacher. Neither subject teachers nor Vidhya Volunteer is appointed in those schools although three months are left for SSC exams,” Asaduddin Owaisi said in his letter to Telangana School Education Director G. Kishan.

Asaduddin Owaisi demanded that the Deputy Educational Officer and MEC posts be filled immediately to improve the academic standards. He said Urdu knowing persons should be appointed on these posts where majority of Urdu Medium schools are present. He also demanded that uniforms, with correct measurement of the students, be provided as the already provided uniforms are either too short or too long and students are unable to wear them.

The MIM president said that the State Government provide computers with instructors as most of the schools teachers are not computer literate. He also pointed out that several schools need furniture and separate toilets for boys and girls. He said special budget should be allotted for maintenance of toilets and cleanliness of the school premises. Sports material, lab equipments, TLM library books should also be provided to all government schools. He said that the clerical and Class-IV staff should be appointed in all government schools and pure drinking water, along with Mid-Day meals, should also be supplied.

“The State Government should release four months salaries to DSC 2002 SGT untrained teachers and Vidhya Volunteers while sanctioning timescale from 17-7-2003 instead of 17-11-2003,” he demanded.

Asaduddin Owisi said new Urdu medium schools should be opened in needy areas and defunct schools should also be revived in areas with Urdu Knowing population. The government should also fill all vacant posts of Diet Lecturers (Urdu Medium) in all the districts of Telangana, open Urdu cell in SCERT to facilitate developments of modules etc., on par with Telugu before training schedules, create Urdu Pandit Posts in all English medium schools and fill all vacant high school Head Master posts.
